May 18, 2011 – June 22, 2011
From May 17th the Flo Peters Gallery will show for the first time the new works of swiss photographer Michel Comte, who is actually known for his fashion and portrait photographs. For his new project, titled Light & Structure, he has dedicated himself to one of his deep passions, nature. The point of origin of the pictures presented in the exhibition are the Swiss mountains, homeland of the artist. Majestic massifs encircled by clouds, willows tenderly veiled by mist as well as abstract formations of rocks and glaciers will be shown in around 40 pictures of small and large size. With their poetic and sometimes dramatic effects the pictures evoke the paintings of Romanticism with their inherent melancholy.
