Mark Seliger, born in Amarillo, Texas, is one of the most important and multifaceted portrait photographers of modern pop culture. Seliger, who lives and works in New York, was a senior photographer for the legendary music magazine "Rolling Stone" for 15 years. During this time, he shot icons of musical history such as Kurt Cobain, Keith Richards and Lenny Kravitz. Today Seliger works for Vanity Fair, Italian Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar and Elle, among others. His award-winning photographs are in public and private collections worldwide, including the National Portrait Gallery at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C., the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston, and the National Portrait Gallery in London.
